What is the purpose of the suction bell?

The suction bell is used to create a vacuum in jars of various types and sizes.

It is designed for fast and reliable closing of jars when preserving (canning) fruits and vegetables and storing food in a vacuum.

Using a vacuum pump, a vacuum is created in the glass and the lid is firmly attached to the neck of the glass. This is the most gentle and reliable way to cook and store food in a vacuum.

Which jars can I cook with the suction bell?

Glasses are suitable:

OMNIA with a volume from 0.2 l to 0.7 l

Screw (twist) with a volume from 0.2l to 0.7l

PANO glass (capacity 3.6 l) - the bell is conical and is placed on the neck of the glass

Older types of glasses:

  • "groove" with rubber band, glass lid and metal spring
  • "masovka" with rubber band, glass lid and sheet metal screw cap
